One of my friends recently moved to Denver and invited me to come visit this winter. Denver is usually much warmer in the winter than where I live in Minneapolis, so I was excited for some warmer weather for outdoor activities! Of course, the weekend I went ended up being one of the snowiest they had all year, but I was determined to make the best of it!
I’m in the process of packing for an almost 3 week overseas trip for work this month. I haven’t taken an overseas trip in a few years, and I’m so excited for the opportunity. We are also getting to extend the trip for a little vaca in Vietnam afterwards!
For such a long trip that includes both business work and personal travel, I’ve spent a while figuring out what to pack while keeping everything in one checked bag. I thought it would be fun to share some of my strategies and essentials for packing!
I try to stick to a (mostly) healthy diet, but it is very hard to stick to when you are traveling. Sometimes you don’t know when or where your next meal will be, so you eat what you can, when you can! Or you get so hungry by the time you do eat, that you end up making not so great choices.
During travel, just like in my regular life, I try to eat healthy foods frequently throughout the day. This not only keeps my energy up, but helps me stay full on healthy foods instead of grabbing a sugary snack. When you are traveling overseas or on a longer trip, it can be hard to pack food, but I’ve found a few staples that really help!
Last month, I had a work trip in LA and decided to extend the trip over the weekend to meet up with my friend who was also in California. We wanted to make the most of the weekend and had a whirlwind to fit in all of the best experiences. I thought I would share a little guide of the best things to see and do.
Happy Superbowl week! Although I am still entirely bitter that my Minnesota Vikings did not make the Superbowl this year (again), but we are hosting the Superbowl this year which is exciting. If any of you are lucky enough to go to the Superbowl or are just visiting, I thought I would make a little Minneapolis tips guide to help you with your visit.
For those of you hosting your own Superbowl party, check out my party guide here!
Chicago is only a quick hour flight from my home in Minneapolis and is a great city for inspiration, shopping, and eating. I recently spent a few days there to do some fall shopping and to enjoy the beautiful city.
