Summer is just around the corner and it is a really fun time to get tropical and refresh your wardrobe with colorful updates. Here are some of my favorites:
At this point of the year, I am so over winter sweaters and boots that I can’t wait to stuff them away in my closet. As I shared in my post about making the most of your closet, I have been trying to build more of a basic wardrobe instead of buying a lot of trendy pieces that I will wear one season and push to the back of my closet.
Being the deal hunter that I am, I maximized the sales and coupon codes at my not-so-secret new (old) favorite store Abercrombie & Fitch. Here’s my spring fashion haul, and what I’m the most excited about:
About once a week I find myself saying “I have nothing to wear!” as I stare into my closet that is filled with clothes. Its not that I don’t have anything, but I am either tired of wearing the same 4 things each week, or I don’t feel like wearing a certain fashion piece that literally never gets worn. I thought I would share some advice on how to build a smart wardrobe and to make the most of what you already have in your closet.
You guys, get your picnic supplies ready because what I’m loving right now is everything gingham! The trend is popping up everywhere and has me so ready for summer.
I thought it would be fun to start doing a weekly roundup of all things inspirational to share with you all. Because can’t we all use a moment to pause and be inspired?
(I was hoping this post would be on a Monday, but hello.. Mondays).
Here is what is inspiring me this week!
Distressed jeans have become more and more popular over the past few seasons. This style is a little tricky to make work in a non-casual setting and isn’t always the most slimming style. I recommend trying on different cuts (boyfriend, straight legged, and skinny) to see what works best for your body type. Since I have bigger thighs, I prefer a skinny so that it balances the length of the leg.
To make the outfit work for business casual, I pair with a dressy blouse or sweater to make the look more pulled together. In a casual setting, the jeans are super cute with a simple t shrit.
