Kitchen Remodel: Favorite Details

Looking back on my kitchen remodel, there are some pieces of the project that surprised me with how well they turned out. We did majority of the work ourselves, and with little experience in some of the projects, it’s always a little scary whether they will turn out or not!

In fact, the only part of the kitchen that I am not totally happy with is the seam in the counter top (shout out to Home Depot installers). They didn’t fully fill in the seam crack and im STILL fighting with them to fix it.

Mid-century Kitchen Remodel Update | Style and the Suburbs

My past few weekends have been spent working on the first part of my kitchen remodel: scraping the popcorn texture off the ceilings. The project is going well (although messy!), and I was happy to see that the ceilings are in great condition underneath. I’m currently on the hunt for a vintage light fixture that will look perfect in the space. My heart is pretty set on finding one shaped like Saturn, but I don’t want to set my expectations too high!
