The center of Thanksgiving is the dining table, and it’s a wonderful time to make the setting feel really special. It can also be a really stressful and overwhelming time if you’re the one doing the cooking and decorating! And lets be real– everyone is more worried about the food than the place settings (and possibly the football game on TV, depending on who’s playing!).

Instead of moving straight into my christmas decor this year, I decided to first decorate for “winter”. I also added a lot of new decor from the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia brand from Target. I actually worked on developing the fabrics for this collection and we worked so hard to make the items a beautiful quality (opinions are my own- LOL!).

In a quest to make a healthier dessert, I found this recipe over at Amy’s Healthy Baking for healthy apple cake. I will caution that a lot of the “healthy” baking options out there only focus on one or two substitutes in the recipe and are often still really high in sugar or fat. I liked this recipe because it used wheat flour and not a lot of butter or sugar. Continue reading “Healthy Apple Cake Recipe Review”
