Ever since I used my first real Christmas tree a few years ago, I never want to go back to faux. They are kind of a mess, but there’s just something about a real tree that feels more special (and you can’t recreate the smell!).
The past few years, I’ve cut down pine trees from my own yard that were the perfect size for a christmas tree and that I didn’t want to grow any bigger. It’s the gift-giving time of year! This time of year can bring a lot of joy, but also a lot of stress over what to give people and sticking to your budget. The hype of holiday deals can get the best of us, but I try to stay focused by writing down a list and budget for my gift giving.
I’ve also found it helps to ignore the sales and deals and give gifts that the person will truly use and enjoy. Why buy someone a bunch of stuff just because it was on sale? If you find something great that happens to be on sale, that’s an even better find!
See below for my 2018 Holiday Gift Guide of beautiful and useful gifts. I tried to pull things that were special at all price points so there is something for every budget. Happy shopping!

Here is a round up of simple, easy place settings that look great without all the fuss!
