One of the ‘before’ photos of my livingroom remodel project popped up in my memories on facebook recently and it was really fun to remember starting my crazy remodel project. I tend to always think about what project I want to do next, and get discouraged that I can’t afford everything I want at this very moment. Its easy to forget about how much work I have put into my home, and the fact that I sacrificed a lot to invest in it and pay off my mortgage. Even if its still a work in progress, it’s still something I am really proud of.
I don’t think I’ve ever shared where my home started when I bought it, so here’s a little trip down memory lane:
Making over a bedroom can seem like an intimidating task. Bedding is expensive and it’s hard to change one piece without it feeling out of place. I love to keep a minimal bedroom style that is grounded in white. This way it’s easy to switch out new decor or a new toss pillow without having to overhaul the whole room. Here are some of my favorite simple bedroom styles to inspire you!
I believe its really important to create a peaceful and calming bedroom as a place to recharge after sometimes chaotic days. Its hard not to let a bedroom become a catch all room where you just close the door when guests come over but with these tips, you can create your own zen space in your home.
As I mentioned before, the next room on my great popcorn ceiling texture removal project is the guest bedroom. Since removing the popcorn involves painting the ceiling and touching up the walls, I’ve decided to also update the entire room.
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a little remodel for my bedroom. I’m so excited to finally share the reveal with y’all! The goal of my house projects is always to keep the integrity of when my house was built– which means keeping the vintage elements wherever I can, or bringing in vintage inspired pieces. I then layer in newer decor to bring it all together.
