I’ve always been a relatively confident person. I have a very type-A personality, and work incredibly hard at just about everything I do (whether this is healthy or not is up for debate!). One trait that I admire about myself, is that I am usually really proud of the things I have accomplished and have confidence that I can achieve just about anything that I want to.
I really believe that confidence isn’t just inherited, but its something that is built and practiced in day to day life. We all struggle with it at times, but there area lot of ways you can work to build your confidence on your own.
It’s been a few months since I’ve shared what I’m loving. To be honest, this blog has been a little bit of a struggle this year. I always want to be relevant to your lives and right now doesn’t feel like a great time to just be sharing lists of things that you should buy!
For this month’s “what I’m loving”, instead of just sharing stuff, I’m trying to share ideas to treat yourself or make your life just a little happier.
After the excitement of starting the new decade, this year probably hasn’t turned out the way you wanted it to. This year, I had looked forward to traveling, spending time with friends, and running lots of races. Now that most plans have gone off the rails, you may feel like there’s nothing you can do other than survive.
Its so important to take care of yourself, now more than ever. There are actually quite a few things that you can do in the next few months to become a better, stronger version of yourself. My motto this year has been to control what you can control, so I wanted to share some of the things you still can control right now!

2020 hasn’t been the year that any of us expected. Its easy to be overwhelmed with negativity of all that has been taken away, and worried about the future. I’ve found that the more that I focus on what is lost, the worse my mindset becomes. I’ve recently started practicing more gratitude and I have found it helps me have a more positive outlook on my day and for the future.
My work recently let us know that we will be working from home for at least the rest of the year. I was happy to have clarity, but another 6 months of working alone at home seemed sort of ominous! For the last few weeks, I’ve really tried to level up my work from home experience, and thought I would share some of my best strategies.
I’ve always had an on and off relationship with sleep. Most of the time, my sleep is near perfect. But I go through phases where it’s impossible to sleep for weeks at a time. I recently went through one of these phases and tried everything– including just about every over the counter supplement and prescription, and none of it helped.
In retrospect, I think the medications were having the opposite effect on me, and I worked really hard to develop better sleep habits for the future. Keep reading for my top tips to get the best sleep each night:
