One of the next projects on my home remodel bucket list is my bathroom. I already did a pretty extensive remodel before I moved into my house by refinishing the tile from yellow to white. (You can read about that project here!)
I also put a new floor down and painted the walls. But, I’ve never really loved my bathroom counter or vanity. The stone top is stained in a few places and has yellowed. The vanity is old and just not great. My goal for the project is to replace the vanity and the top to make the bathroom feel new and updated. Depending on how that project goes, I may choose to redo the floors as well, because they are a little plain jane.
What I’m loving about May is that all of my favorite flowers have started blooming! I love picking fresh blooms from my yard and filling my house with them. I’m not the greatest at arranging flowers, and it’s something that I want to get better at. I’ve pulled together some inspo for a bunch of different ways to arrange flowers of all types.
Sleep is one of the most important parts of health and well being, and your bed is a part of that. You really only need to love your bed and your mom, right?
I’ve worked in product development for bedding during my career, and I know there are so many options out there for bedding. It’s hard to know what is worth it’s price tag and what isn’t. Here is the truth about what you really need to create the comfiest bed ever.
Looking back on my kitchen remodel, there are some pieces of the project that surprised me with how well they turned out. We did majority of the work ourselves, and with little experience in some of the projects, it’s always a little scary whether they will turn out or not!
In fact, the only part of the kitchen that I am not totally happy with is the seam in the counter top (shout out to Home Depot installers). They didn’t fully fill in the seam crack and im STILL fighting with them to fix it.
Other than that, here are some of my favorite details of the project!
Over the last few years of owning my home, I have crafted my home from being a broke 23 year old trying to decorate with a budget of $0, to finally being able to invest more into intentional decor pieces. I’m still all about that budget life, but it’s enjoyable to be able buy things instead of just piecing together hand-me-downs.
I’ve finally been able to create my own personal style in my home, and wanted to share my top tips for creating a stylish space.
I started this post with the intention of a Marie Kondo-inspired organization overhaul, but I realized that my house is already pretty organized (SORRY!). My organization kick did inspire me to clean up my home office, get rid of some clutter, and give it a refreshed look.
