It is the first Monday in May. Otherwise known as the Met Gala. One of the few days of the year that the Met Museum is closed to the public, in order to host the Met Gala fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Institute. The Costume Institute is critical for preserving and celebrating the history of fashion.
There has always been a debate of whether fashion should be considered art, and often fashion is not included in art museums. This started to change in 2011 when the Met hosted the exhibit Savage Beauty which celebrated the work of the late Alexander McQueen. A while back, I wrote a post about tips and tricks for selling clothes on Poshmark, but the site has changed so much in the last year, that I thought it was time for an update! I recently became a *poshmark ambassador*, which is just the status you get if you are a frequent user of the site. By becoming an ambassador, I learned even more tips for selling your listings and making the most from your closet!
Although I love to shop, I always try to be frugal with my money and how I spend it. I almost never pay full price for shoes or clothing, and most of my wardrobe is bought at 75% off or more from retail price! One of my top secrets is to make the most of loyalty programs—even at places you shop a few times a year. Here are some of my favorite loyalty programs to score a deal:
