One of my favorite parts of my kitchen remodel is my subway tile back splash. It is so bright and timeless, which was the goal of my kitchen remodel. The other benefit to subway tile is that it is really cheap– I got my tile on sale for $0.17 a tile! The entire backsplash cost less than $60.
The backsplash is also relatively easy to do yourself. You will need a tile saw, and maybe someone with experience using one, but the rest even a novice can do themselves!
Tis the season to wrap all of the special gifts you’ve purchased for your friends and family. I believe that the gift wrap is almost as important as the gift to make it feel special and given with love. Here are some new and clever ways to make your presents look extra pretty and feel extra special this year!

After months of waiting, my quartz countertops are finally installed! I figured after not hearing from the company for weeks they would call and want to install them right away, and that was exactly what happened..
One of the biggest benefits that drew me to purchasing my countertops at the Home Depot was that they professionally measure the space for you. At some of the other retailers, you have to measure yourself and they send you a plastic template that you lay out to confirm. Although you can confirm with the template, there is still a lot of liability if it doesn’t fit right!
Last weekend I was excited to finally order my quartz countertops for my kitchen remodel project. I have been waiting for a good sale and for the free time to be able to tackle the project. Since I had the countertops already picked out and planned, it was a pretty easy process. I thought I’d share how the process went and my advice if you are planning to purchase counters in the future.
There are a lot of DIY art projects out there that usually end up as a #pinterestfail or just look so basic you can’t actually display it in your home (aka everything I’ve ever made at one of those paint and wine classes). I’ve rounded up some of my favorite DIY projects that are semi-fail proof and will give you actually cool art that you can be proud to show off.
