My Secrets for Maintaining Long Hair

I’ve always had shoulder length or longer hair (like since I was a child!). I love being able to do all sorts of styles with my hair, and I feel like long hair just looks better on me. There is a lot of maintenance for long hair, but the right products make all the difference. Here are some of my favorites that I use to maintain my long hair:

My Easy, Healthy Skin Makeup Routine

Although I always try to look my best, I haven’t always been a big makeup person. I’m the kind of person that wants to be healthy from the inside and just highlight my best features. Unfortunately, I’ve also had terrible skin most of my life and have tried a lot of makeup to cover up breakouts, but also not cause more! After a lot of trial and error, I’ve found a really good group of products that allows me to look like naturally me, but just better.

What I Learned from Trying Out to Be an NFL Cheerleader

**Warning this post is a personal one! So if you’re just here for the home remodel DIYs you can skip ahead. But I’d love for you to stay! 🙂

I shared with you all a few months ago that my new years resolution this year was to just do things. I’m the type of person that always talks myself out of trying something new and I feel like that’s kept me from going after the things I really want to do in life.

Back when I was in school I dreamed of being able to buy all of the clothes that I wanted and have THE coolest outfits around. Not quite there yet, but I still love picking out outfits and finding the best deals on designer pieces.

A Feminine Spring Wedding

This past weekend, we celebrated my brothers wedding on a beautiful, sunny spring day. The wedding was at a historic little church built in the 1800’s and had a pretty feminine theme. Apparently, its very hard to be a bridesmaid and capture all the moments of the day, but I guess that’s why you should leave photos to the professionals. 🙂

I’m happy to share a few moments from the day with you all!

Beauty Secrets from 5 Women

Beauty Secrets from 5 Women | Style and the Suburbs

I recently got hooked on beauty boxes. They are offered by many retailers that send an assortment of sample or full sized products for (usually) a really low price. The goal is to let you try things without a huge investment. I’ve actually loved quite a few products that I’ve gotten in my boxes! The concept of trying new things made me wonder what other products were out there so I asked a group of ladies to share their top beauty secrets. Continue reading “Beauty Secrets from 5 Women”
