“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you and to give thanks continuously.”
2020 hasn’t been the year that any of us expected. Its easy to be overwhelmed with negativity of all that has been taken away, and worried about the future. I’ve found that the more that I focus on what is lost, the worse my mindset becomes. I’ve recently started practicing more gratitude and I have found it helps me have a more positive outlook on my day and for the future.
Some things that I have been especially grateful for this year are:
- My family’s heath
- That I still have a job that I can do safely and remotely
- That I get to spend more time with my family and live a more balanced life
I have challenged myself to find 3 unique things each day that I am thankful for. I challenge you to do the same! To help, I have created this printable journal sheet. You only need to print one sheet for a week of gratitude.
Some things you might be grateful for each day include:
- A recent accomplishment
- A person in your life
- An inspiring or comforting place
- Your favorite food or meal
- A part of your home that you love
- Something about the week
- Something about yourself
- A memory that makes you happy
- An upcoming event
At first, it can be a challenge to think of something new each and every day, but you should also think small and consider gratitude for the little things in life! It takes practice to make gratitude become a habit, but try jotting down 3 things a day for one month and see how it makes you feel.
