This last week, I decided that I had enough of summer and was ready to update my decor to fall. Starbucks did launch the Pumpkin Spice Latte this week, so clearly I am not alone in my feelings.
I went with a “greener” fall look this season, adding in more faux greenery instead of the traditional branches and orange leaves. Since most of my decor is neutral to begin with, I just added in a few pumpkins and a cozy plaid throw. As we approach halloween and thanksgiving, I’ll layer in a few more pieces, but for now I love the subtle fall look.
For my table setting, I added a pretty garland that I decided to splurge on. I thought this would also look great for on the mantle during the holidays or even for spring. If you haven’t noticed, I don’t actually use my dining table and I wouldn’t recommend the garland if you actually need your table to function. I kept the rest of the table simple with white linens and pretty china dessert plates.
When do you usually decorate for fall? Do you have your eyes on any new decor pieces this year?
