Summer Decor Refresh

It’s finally time to open the windows and enjoy the sunshine in Minneapolis. After what felt like the longest winter EVER, we went from blizzards to 85 degrees in less than a month!

This is a great time to liven up your decor. I love adding lots of vases for the fresh flowers from my yard. I found an awesome fake leaf in the dollar section at Target to use as a placeholder until I can replace with real stems. This time of year, the more color the better.

For my table setting, I kept a bright white palette and let the flowers and mint vases pop. I add my own personal style into it by using my grandma’s vintage linen table cloth with new decor pieces and dessert plates. Everyone is always impressed by the tulips in my yard but they just come up every year and I can’t take any credit for them!

It’s also time to bring out the outdoor decor. A new doormat is the perfect way to refresh your front steps. I love to create a welcoming entry with lanterns and flower pots. The little details go a long way in making your home look welcoming. Now bring on summer!
